We do not belong,
On this planet of ours,
We do not belong,
With our buildings and cars,
It is our desire,
To mold what is taken,
Though when not given freely,
Our torment awakened,
Dare I step-
Where the lacewings have crept?
Dare I rest-
Where the shadows have slept?
We do not belong,
On this planet of ours,
We do not belong,
With our walls and our bars,
Cast to high heights,
Our ambition unending,
Tossed to deep lows,
Our flesh for the rending,
Dare I mutter-
Where moths have soft fluttered?
Dare I mourn-
Where the wolf-pups are born?
We do not belong,
On this planet of ours,
We do not belong,
And shall leave naught but scars
