A Soldier’s Words

No one shall touch me,

they would not dare,

No round shall hurt me,

Thus is mine care,

I know it’s bravado,

And so do you,

But naught shall our love,

Be split in two,

If not this life,

Then so another,

I’ll bid the ferryman,

Thus not to bother,

You are my love,

You hold my soul,

You are mine deepest treasure trove,

So thus keep heart,

Do not falter,

Lest our fates,

Meet bitter halter,

I shall return,

This I do swear,

If not this life,

So then another
